There's a darling little bakery in Glenmore Park that creates cupcakes, cake pops, cookies, macarons, brownies and cakes for every occasion. We got in touch with creator and chief baker Saoirse Ward to find out more about the business.
I started my business 3 years ago first as a hobby making cakes for my family and friends and then began taking orders for friends of friends, Saoirse recounted happily when probed about how the business got off the ground. Word of mouth was the best thing for me as that grew my business and allowed me to take on more and more orders for all people in my local area. I now make custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies, cake pops and macarons for all occasions ranging from baptisms to weddings and everything in between.
That's not shabby, considering the business got its start in her home kitchen and its Instagram page @siftd now has over 1.5k followers.
One thing that I love about my business is presenting the best quality product for all events, and being able to share in special days such as weddings, birthdays and baptisms, she replied when asked what she loves about Sift'd being in existence. Providing the customer with delicious cakes, cupcakes, cookies and macarons and seeing their faces light up when they see it for the first time gives me so much joy and excitement!
